GIVING A VOICE TO WATER
23 March 2026 was World Water Day. It marked a day on which we stood united in our commitment to defend our most precious resource: water. And in the wake of this day, we have a vital message: we must make the voice of water heard.
This centres on three urgent priorities that demand our immediate attention:
💧 Water and health
Access to safe drinking water is not just a necessity; it is a matter of dignity and health. Waterborne diseases continue to pose a significant risk to lives across the globe. It is vital that we campaign to ensure safe water for all.

🌾 Water for food
Feeding a growing global population is one of our greatest challenges. Collaboration with organisations working in the agricultural sector is essential to developing sustainable farming practices that prioritise water conservation.

🌳 Water and nature
We cannot overemphasise the interdependence between water and forests. Forests play a vital role in regulating the water cycle and supporting ecosystems. Yet they face serious threats from deforestation, pollution and urbanisation. We must:
• Protect forests as essential ‘natural infrastructure’.
• Prevent pollution at source.
• Invest in water storage solutions that benefit both people and nature.
Let’s turn awareness into action, because protecting water and forests means protecting life itself.
⚖️ A matter of rights and responsibilities
Water is a human right, just like access to nature. International law requires the protection of resources essential to survival. We must advocate for policies that guarantee these rights for every individual.

Ensemble, changeons le discours : passons de la simple compréhension du coût de l’eau à la reconnaissance de sa valeur inestimable. Rejoignez-nous dans cette mission vitale.
